Why this exists
For years, we built Playground with our own hands and our own resources. Every gathering, every journey, every format was carried by a core team of volunteers who believed that what was emerging here was worth protecting.
The Community Portal came from the same spirit. We saw what happened when the music stopped: connections faded, conversations drifted onto platforms that could never truly hold them, and something meaningful was slowly lost.
So we built an alternative — not to generate profit, but to give this community a home that lives beyond the event, year-round, across borders, and wherever life takes you.
A space where our international community can stay connected, meet others nearby or far away, exchange knowledge, discover new ideas, and turn shared moments into lasting friendships.

Project Playground e.V. is a registered non-profit association dedicated to the promotion of arts and culture (§ 52 AO). Every gathering, every journey, and every digital space we build runs on real resources — server infrastructure, artist honoraria, production costs, and the operational backbone that keeps this community alive year-round. Each member who joins makes that possible. Your membership contribution is used exclusively to fund our artistic and cultural programme.

Your contribution directly funds our creative and cultural programme — the events, formats, and people who keep Playground alive. No ads. No investors. Just the people in this circle.
Your membership is tax-deductible. As a registered non-profit (§ 52 AO), we issue a formal receipt for contributions above €300 — your bank statement suffices below that. In practice: a €600 membership in the 42% tax bracket costs you ~€348 net. The state covers the rest.
